    Admission to main school

    St Stephen’s Church of England Primary School has a distinctive Christian ethos which is at the heart of this School and provides an inclusive, caring and supportive environment where children learn and flourish in a setting shaped by Christian values. We welcome applications from all members of the community and we ask all parents/carers to respect the Christian ethos of our school and its importance to our community.
     
    The Governing Body is responsible for the admission of pupils to St Stephen’s Church of England School and admits 30 pupils to the Reception class each year.  This admission number has been agreed between the Governing Body and the home Local Authority and applies to the current school year. The Governing Body is required to abide by the maximum limits for infant classes (5, 6 and 7 year olds) ie, 30 pupils per class.

    You may be aware that Lewisham has decided to no longer publish a starting school booklet.

    Admission to Nursery

    At St Stephen's we offer part time and  full time places for children who have turned three years of age. Part time places are either from 9.00am -12.00pm or 12.30pm- 3.30pm Monday to Friday. Full time places are from 9.00am -3.30pm.

    If you would like to apply please complete and return to the school office the application form below. Please bring in proof of date of birth and address at this time.

    You can put your child's name on the waiting list for a place from when they reach two years of age.

    Visits to the Nursery can be arranged by calling the school office.

    Please note: There is no automatic transfer form Nursery to the main school. You have to apply separately, following the criteria, as outlined above for the main school.
